Ticket Purchase Terms & Conditions

1. General

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all tickets purchased for the NZDA Hunting & Wildlife Expo 2026 (“the Event”).
1.2 The Event is organised by New Zealand Deerstalkers’ Association (NZDA) (“the Organiser”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
1.3 By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Tickets & Entry

2.1 Tickets are valid only for the date(s) and time(s) specified at the time of purchase.
2.2 A valid ticket (printed or digital) must be presented for entry.
2.3 Tickets may not be transferred, resold, or used for commercial promotions without written approval from the Organiser.
2.4 Entry is subject to capacity limits and venue conditions.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 All prices are stated in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Ticket prices and fees are non‑negotiable once purchased.
3.3 Payment must be made in full at the time of booking using the available payment methods.

4. Refunds & Exchanges

4.1 Tickets are non‑refundable, except where required under New Zealand consumer law or as outlined below.
4.2 Tickets cannot be exchanged once purchased, including due to change of mind or inability to attend.
4.3 If the Event is cancelled, ticket holders will be entitled to a refund of the face value of the ticket (excluding transaction or booking fees unless otherwise required by law).
4.4 If the Event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets will remain valid for the new date. Refunds may be offered at the Organiser’s discretion.
4.5 Refunds will be issued using the original payment method where possible.

5. Event Changes

5.1 The Organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:

  • Event programming
  • Exhibitors
  • Schedules
  • Speakers or demonstrations
    5.2 Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.

6. Entry Conditions & Behaviour

6.1 Entry may be refused, or a person required to leave, if they:

  • Behave in a disorderly, unsafe, or offensive manner
  • Fail to comply with venue rules or staff instructions
  • Are affected by alcohol or drugs in a way that poses a risk to others
    6.2 No refund will be provided if entry is refused or revoked due to breach of these conditions.

7. Safety, Weapons & Animals

7.1 The Event is a hunting and wildlife expo and may include discussions or displays related to firearms, bows, knives, and hunting equipment.
7.2 No operational firearms, ammunition, or weapons may be brought into the Event, except by authorised exhibitors and in accordance with NZ law and venue rules.
7.3 Any animals present at the Event will be managed by approved handlers under appropriate welfare standards.

8. Photography, Filming & Media

8.1 The Event may be photographed or recorded for promotional and media purposes.
8.2 By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed and for such material to be used without compensation.
8.3 Personal photography is permitted unless otherwise stated. Commercial photography requires prior written approval.

9. Liability

9.1 Attendance at the Event is at your own risk.
9.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser and venue are not liable for:

  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Personal injury arising from actions not caused by the Organiser’s negligence
    9.3 Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.

10. Privacy

10.1 Personal information collected during ticket purchase will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
10.2 Information will be used solely for event administration, communication, and safety purposes unless otherwise stated.

11. Force Majeure

11.1 The Organiser is not responsible for failure to deliver the Event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Public health emergencies
  • Venue unavailability

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
12.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
