Terms & Conditions of Entry

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and visitors entering the NZ Deerstalkers Expo & Conference 2026 (“the Event”), operated by the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association (“NZDA”).
By entering the Event, all persons agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and any reasonable instructions given by event staff.

2. Admission & Tickets

  • Entry is permitted only with a valid ticket, registration, or authorised accreditation.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise stated.
  • NZDA reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person without refund for breach of these Terms.

3. Code of Conduct

All attendees must:

  • Behave respectfully toward staff, exhibitors, and other attendees
  • Comply with all applicable New Zealand laws and regulations
  • Follow all health and safety instructions

NZDA has a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Harassment, threatening behaviour, or violence
  • Intoxication or disorderly conduct
  • Unsafe handling of equipment or exhibits

4. Health & Safety

  • Entry is at your own risk.
  • Attendees must comply with all safety signage and directions.
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn at all times.
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.

5. Firearms, Weapons & Restricted Items

  • Firearms, ammunition, and controlled weapons may only be brought into the Event where expressly permitted and must comply with all New Zealand laws.
  • All firearms must be:
    • Unloaded
    • Made safe and secured
    • Handled only in designated areas
    • NZDA reserves the right to inspect any item brought into the Event.

6. Photography & Media

  • By entering the Event, attendees consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded.
  • NZDA may use this material for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.
  • Commercial photography or filming requires prior written approval.

7. Exhibitor Interactions & Purchases

  • Any products or services purchased are transacted directly with exhibitors.
  • NZDA is not responsible for product quality, warranties, or disputes between attendees and exhibitors.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • NZDA is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained at the Event.
  • Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings.
  • NZDA accepts no responsibility for theft, loss, or damage of property.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable legislation.

9. Event Changes & Cancellation

NZDA reserves the right to:

  • Alter event programming, schedules, or speakers
  • Cancel or postpone the Event due to circumstances beyond its control
  • Refunds will be issued in accordance with NZDA’s refund policy where applicable

10. Privacy

  • Personal information collected during registration will be used for event administration and communication.
  • Information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

11. Compliance with Venue Rules

  • All attendees must comply with venue-specific rules and regulations.
  • Any breach may result in removal from the Event.

12. Right to Refuse Entry

NZDA reserves the right to deny entry or remove any person who:

  • Breaches these Terms & Conditions
  • Poses a safety risk
  • Fails to comply with staff instructions

13. Amendments

NZDA may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will be available via official event channels.

No outside food & alcohol may be brought onto the premises, and we do not allow intoxicated individuals on site.
